Historic Elitch Theatre

PROJECT BRIEF

Opened in 1891, the historic Elitch Theatre stands on the former site of Denver’s Elitch Gardens amusement park. After its final production in 1991, the theatre remained vacant for more than 30 years before undergoing rehabilitation to restore it as a community gathering space and performance venue.

The project included new ADA-accessible restrooms, restoration of exterior lighting and paint, plumbing upgrades, and aesthetic improvements. Sustainable features were implemented to improve airflow and enhance comfort for staff, patrons, and performers. The theatre has since received a certificate of occupancy from the City of Denver, allowing the Historic Elitch Theatre Foundation to host events and continue preservation efforts as a seasonal facility.

In collaboration with EUA.

Let’s talk.

We start simple with a conversation -  what are you hoping to do? Why are you hoping to do it? We’ll talk about your site, your goals, your timeline, and your budget. This is where we decide if we’re the right fit for each other. If we are not the right fit, I’m happy to make a referral.
